High-Growth DTC Accessories Brand
Location: Remote, USA

 

Overview
This founder-led direct-to-consumer accessories brand has built strong market momentum across North America and is entering its next phase of international scale. Operating a digital-first model with in-house product development and amulti-3PL network, the business is focused on strengthening operational rigour,margin discipline, and infrastructure to support continued growth.

 

The Opportunity
The Chief Operating Officer will serve as the operational architect of the business, accountable for global supply chain, inventory strategy, fulfilment performance, systems infrastructure, and cross-functional alignment. Reportingto the CEO, this executive will build the operational foundation required to support international expansion and long-term enterprise value creation.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership & Supply Chain Strategy

  • Lead global supply chain operations, including overseas manufacturing partners and tariff strategy.
  • Oversee and optimise the multi-3PL network across North America.
  • Establish structured forecasting, demand planning, and inventory management frameworks.
  • Improve fulfilment accuracy, lead times, OTIF performance, and cost control.
  • Drive operational scalability aligned with international growth.

 

2. Financial Performance & Margin Discipline

  • Partner with Finance to protect and improve gross and contribution margin.
  • Lead operational budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Strengthen working capital management and inventory turnover.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and identify cost efficiencies.
  • Implement operational dashboards providing clear KPI and risk visibility.

 

3. Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team.
  • Align Operations with Marketing, Merchandising, Ecommerce, and Finance.
  • Ensure launch calendars, inventory readiness, and revenue plans are operationally viable.
  • Introduce structured decision-making and accountability frameworks.

 

4. Systems & Infrastructure

  • Implement scalable systems across ERP, forecasting, inventory, and fulfilment.
  • Lead automation and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Establish documented SOPs and operating rhythms across teams.

 

5. Risk Management & Compliance

  • Manage global import/export compliance and supplier standards.
  • Mitigate risks related to tariffs, supply disruption, logistics bottlenecks, and inventory exposure.
  • Ensure operational transparency aligned with long-term strategic growth.

 

About You

  • 12+ years in operational leadership within DTC, consumer goods, or accessories.
  • 5+ years in senior operations roles (VP Operations, SVP Operations, or COO).
  • Experience scaling high-growth DTC brands through significant revenue expansion.
  • Deep expertise across supply chain, fulfilment, inventory, and margin management.
  • Strong financial literacy with meaningful P&L exposure.
  • Experience building teams in founder-led environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MBA advantageous.
